Alcohol is a major issue within this modern day society, we are living in. Every week, thousands of people go out to there local hotspots in their town with the intention of getting drunk.Why do people get this drunk?
Alcohol is just as bad as an illegal drug, if you ask me. Yet the government will not ban it as the revenue from taxes is too great for them to sanction a ban.
Alcohol cost lives, this is a fact and cost the NHS billions in alcohol related illness and one off incidents.

I totally agree with Tarshana, alcohol is the biggest problem in Britain. Teenagers born into a family that regulary consume alcohol, do not stand much of a chance breaking this social trend.
I'm not saying people should totally stop drinking alcohol, but they need to be more wise. Youths should be educated in school earlier about the pit falls of drinking alcohol.
